Frequently Asked Questions
What is Max Lift?
Max Lift is a practical toolkit for weightlifters and strength athletes. It estimates your one-rep max (1RM), converts weights between pounds and kilograms instantly, and supports several trusted strength formulas — all in a clean, focused design.
How do I estimate my one-rep max?
Enter the weight you lifted and the number of reps you completed. Max Lift calculates your estimated 1RM in whichever unit you prefer — pounds or kilograms.
Which 1RM formulas are supported?
Max Lift includes several widely used estimation formulas: Brzycki, Epley, Lander, Lombardi, Mayhew, O'Conner, and Wathan. You can choose which formulas to use from the formula selection screen.
Can I switch between pounds and kilograms?
Yes. Max Lift converts between lb and kg with live conversion, so there's no mental math at the rack or on the platform.
Why do different formulas give different results?
Each formula uses a slightly different model based on the research it came from. Estimates are most accurate in lower rep ranges and should be treated as guidance for programming — not a guaranteed lifting number. Pick the formula that best fits your training style.
Is my data stored anywhere?
Your calculator inputs and formula preferences are saved locally on your device so they're ready the next time you open the app. They aren't shared with us.
